Making Old Mixers Work Like New...
Typical Sealpax applications remain in service for months at a time without any mechanical disassembly. It is compatible with most packing material and lubricants, which means you can continue using the stock currently in your store room. Maintaining a low temperature is critical to the life of any seal assembly. The low friction design along with a simple system for delivering lubrication to the seal face ensures moderate temperatures for Sealpax assemblies. Normal maintenance for the Sealpax is just a quick shot of lubricant. Every few months the packing material should be examined (without disassembly) to determine if repacking is necessary. When new packing is required, the Sealpax is easy to work on due to a completely split design and easily accessible packing. A complete repack of a seal can be done in two or three hours.
